Luca Nichetto’s modular outdoor kitchen design will fit every space
Luca Nichetto has partnered with Danver Stainless Outdoor Kitchens and Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens on a modular new concept
As summer approaches, a host of brands are creating garden furniture that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Turning their mind to outside kitchens are stainless steel outdoor living specialists Danver Stainless Outdoor Kitchens and Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens, who have collaborated with designer Luca Nichetto on a new modular kitchen concept, unveiled during New York Design Week 2022.
An architecturally inspired outdoor kitchen
Nichetto draws on the architecturally inspired design of Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens’ ‘Elements’ collection for the new ‘Cube’ pieces, which put modularity at the centre of the design. The modules of the kitchen become exaggerated forms thanks to sharply drawn outlines and a distinctive range of hues. Contrasting colours, including on surfaces resembling wood slats, create a modern juxtaposition in the individual pieces.
‘We’ve been hard at work this year to create collections that are inspiring and meet the needs of today’s consumer,’ said Mitch Slater, president of both Danver and Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens. ‘Having the opportunity to showcase [new] collections at ICFF 2022 is an incredibly exciting moment for us. [These] product lines bring something new to the market and represent unique collaborations with notable designers. We’re proud to offer a variety of designs that will offer a solution for every type of homeowner.’
The flexible ‘Cube’ outdoor kitchen, available to purchase from 2023, works for spaces in both compact urban environments and more generously proportioned areas.
The collaboration with Nichetto follows the brands’ partnership with Arizona-based architect, designer and creative director Daniel Germani, who has also launched a new design, titled ‘Urbane’ and inspired by the heritage of European kitchens. Stainless steel makes a modern foil for powder-coated panels in this new kitchen, which also offers the chance to integrate a sink or other appliances into the design. §
